IIFA 2018: The BEST and WORST dressed at the green carpet
- 1 /The 19th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) that started on June 22, saw a bevy of Bollywood actors attending the event in Bangkok. Needless to say, like every year, the actors left fashion aficionados impressed with their sartorial choices. From Kriti Sanon’s structured gown to Shraddha Kapoor's baby pink satin gown, let’s take a look at the best and worst dressed at IIFA. (Source: APH Images, Instagram)
- 2 /HIT: The Bareilly ki Barfi actor made an interesting choice in a cream coloured, structured gown from designer Gaurav Gupta. Featuring an array of ruffles at the hem, the outfit accentuated the actor’s svelte figure perfectly. Celebrity stylist Sukriti Grover accessorised the one-sleeved outfit with statement earrings. Dewy make-up with dark red lips completed her look. (Source: sukritigrover/ Instagram)
- 3 /HIT: Shraddha Kapoor opted for a Reem Acra midnight blue gown from the designer’s Fall’18 collection. Featuring a sheer neckline with embellishments all over it, the Haseena Parkar actor looked lovely as ever. Smokey eyes with neutral make-up and side-parted wavy hairdo gave finishing touches to her look. (Source: tanyaghavri/ Instagram)
- 4 /HIT: Dressed in a semi-sheer Aiisha Ramadan ensemble, Diana Penty looked elegant and classy. We like how stylist Maneka Harisinghani kept her accessories minimal and teamed her outfit with a pair of Louboutin heels. Well-defined eyes with a nude palette and sleek hairdo rounded out her look. - 5 /MISS: Dia Mirza opted for a shimmery, dark green dress featuring a plunging neckline from Monisha Jaisingh. Although we did like the attire, her overall look seemed way too boring for us. Stylist Theia Tekchandaney accessorised her outfit with a pair of matching strappy heels and a dewy make-up shade completed her look. (Source: diamirzaofficial/ Instagram)
- 6HIT: Keeping up with her strong style streak, Kriti Sanon left onlookers gaping on Day 3 as well, in her beautiful Mark Bumgarner gown. Stylist Tanya Ghavri accessorised the glittery blue-grey voluminous gown with a pair of silver hoops and we like how Sanon complemented the look with a dewy sheen and soft pink lips. - 7 /MISS: While Shraddha Kapoor impressed us on Day 1 of IIFA in her Reem Acra sheer midnight blue number, the actor’s satin gown from the same designer was a bit of a letdown. While the plunging neckline did add oomph to the baby pink piece, we think the vast swathes of the voluminous creation looked bland. (Source: APH Images)
- 8 /MISS: There was a lot going on in Zaira Wasim’s black midi. From a corset-inspired bodice to odd statement sleeves to an embellished floral belt, the Alpana Neeraj number was confusing and we wish the actor had chosen to make her seemingly dramatic statement in a more subtle way.
